This conversation will be a two part series on identifying the underlying issues of Mental Health in the Black community in order to establish healthy and efficient practices to create safer spaces and healthier communities. We will invite community representatives, organizations and Black individuals to speak to their experiences and to share ideas of how both the city and communities can collectively support each other when dealing with Mental Health.
There will be two moderators within the discussion and guest speaker, Sharmarke Dualeh, who is a registered Psychiatrist in Toronto, will give his insights on the topic. We will also highlight other organizations within Toronto who are actively doing work around Community Building and Mental Health.
Part 1 will focus on Destigmatizing Mental Health in the Black Community. Part 2 will focus on Community Healing and Community Care.
This meeting will be virtual and held on Webex. You will need to RSVP to the meeting in order to gain access to the event details.
THIS EVENT IS NOT HOSTED BY ONE STOP THERAPY. We are sharing it to support the community.
